- Fry onions in the oil over a medium heat, keep stirring until it becomes golden brown
- When the onions are golden brown, add qeema, garlic and ginger, stirring at all times
- Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes (or until the moisture has dried up and meat turns brown)
- Add spices and 1/4 cup of water; keep stirring!
- After cooking for a couple of minutes, add the tomatoes and yogurt and keep cooking for another 5-10 minutes. Keep stirring! (Add some water if it starts to get dry)
- Add potatoes and mix well. Add a cup of water and mix again.
- Cover and cook for 30 minutes over a low flame until the potatoes are cooked through
- Your aaloo qeema is ready! Have it with roti, flatbread, naan, rice or use it as filling for a sandwich!
