Aaloo Qeema (Pakistani)

  1. Fry onions in the oil over a medium heat, keep stirring until it becomes golden brown
  2. When the onions are golden brown, add qeema, garlic and ginger, stirring at all times
  3. Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes (or until the moisture has dried up and meat turns brown)
  4. Add spices and 1/4 cup of water; keep stirring!
  5. After cooking for a couple of minutes, add the tomatoes and yogurt and keep cooking for another 5-10 minutes. Keep stirring! (Add some water if it starts to get dry)
  6. Add potatoes and mix well. Add a cup of water and mix again.
  7. Cover and cook for 30 minutes over a low flame until the potatoes are cooked through
  8. Your aaloo qeema is ready! Have it with roti, flatbread, naan, rice or use it as filling for a sandwich!
